~~Writing Update~~

In order to change things up in my writing schedule, I have decided to attempt something new and try out the writing challenge where one writes 100 words for 100 days, except, I am going to throw out the 100 days bit, in case I want to alter things again later. So I just have the goal of writing 100 words per day.

~~In which the hopeful maiden wishes you a Merry Christmas~~

  Oh, December, you magical month!

The shining crown of snow atop a mountain of life lived in all the months past.

December, you bring chances to look back, and to anticipate forwards. To celebrate the year and the birthday of the Prince of Peace.

~~In which we say goodbye to another autumn~~

November will only be with us for a few more days now. With its passing go the last of the autumn leaves, with most of the woods around my home quite bare. And all over the world, those who chose to partake in the challenge are racing to complete their final word counts for National Novel Writing Month. I was fortunate enough to choose a more feasible goal for my NaNoWriMo, and therefore reached my milestone a week ago, a fact I am quite happy about.

I write this in the evening, during one of my final listens of my Autumn

~~In which the hopeful maiden shares a pair of videos~~

I neglected to share these videos on this blog when I did on YouTube, so here they are now, a bit late. Hoping you enjoy, and have a fantastic rest of your day!

~~A little trip into Narnia in the midst of a hot summer~~

     Hello, everyone!

Here's a video I made chronicling an adventure in Narnia I recently had. Hope you enjoy, and have a fantastic day!

I edited the original version of this video to the song "Only the Beginning of the Adventure" from The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe soundtrack. So if you'd like the complete experience, you can mute this video and play that song as you watch this.

To properly follow along, start "Only the Beginning of the Adventure" as my intro title begins and listen up until 3:40. Then skip within the song to 4 minutes and 13 seconds, and continue on from there.

Enjoy!

Music featured (in order of appearance)

~~Spring Favorites! (Books, movies, and music!)~~

    Hello, world!

Spring has ended and summer has begun!! But before I throw myself wholeheartedly into this delightfully fresh and new time, I'd like to take a few moments to share a small collection of art that I really enjoyed this past spring. Hope you enjoy!

~Books!~

1. The Amaranth Enchantment by Julie Berry

I enjoyed this book from the first page to the final one! It's been so long since a book has kept me so hugely invested for the whole journey through! I loved the three younger main characters and the adults around them were also very interesting and well incorporated into the story. I would say my favorite thing about it was the writing. The way it drew me in, it reminded me of some of the books I read in my early teens. It truly just invited me into the world and I was able to vividly see characters and the places they traveled to. I can definitely see myself reading this one again!
