Dearest Josephine by Caroline George | A book reivew

Song that sounds like this novel:

This book was very beautiful and soulful. It was more an exploration of the human condition than it was a mere book for entertainment purposes only. It felt like some of the animes I like to watch.

Some encouragement for weary or purposeless souls 🤍

“Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them because they were harassed and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest.””

Matthew 9:35-38

“...harassed and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.” Jesus saw. Saw their desolate state. And He had compassion.

This is the wonderful God we serve. The God who sees scattered, worn out, brokenhearted souls.

Dear heart, you are seen.

"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart..." Psalm 34:18

And as I draw immense comfort from these verses, also within them lies my own part to play during my time here on earth. Which is to lift up my hand and say, "Here I am, Lord. Send me into Your harvest to encourage Your people and spread this faith to the nations."
