Welcome to my old blog!

Hello there, stranger!

You've found my old blog!

This is the place where I tried out blogging for the very first time in 2021 and completely fell in love with it.

The Storyteller's Citadel was private for a while, but there's several sweet posts here that I'm really proud of and don't mind others reading, so it's back up for you to enjoy! And even though I no longer post here, I still get comment notifications. So if you'd like to strike up a fun conversation about something you read here, go right ahead! I'd love to chat with you!

Nowadays I spend my time writing over at With Joy for the Work and sharing aesthetics and songs at Twilight Skies and Ocean Waves. So if you'd like to keep up with me, that's where to find me!

Dearest, have a wonderful rest of your day and happy archive reading!

Remember, dear heart, we are all between the paws of the one true Aslan.

Come Find His Rest | A song review

"Come Find His Rest"

Favorite line:

"I came to Jesus as I was so weary, worn, and sad / I found in Him a resting place and He has made me glad."

This song has such a peaceful feeling to it. Especially when they sing the line: "Take His yoke upon thee / for He is gentle and lowly in heart". Ugh, it's just so good!!

Along with this song being for worship purposes, I also think it's good for writing as well. Perhaps for a scene where a lone voice rises to encourage the masses to trust in Christ despite whatever great darkness they are facing. And then the encouragement ripples out to more and more people!🤍

What do you think of this song? And have you ever heard it before today? I'd love to hear from you in the comments below! (Also, the choir, conductor, etc. info is in the YouTube description box!)
